Graphic Designer & Photographer
I’m born and raised in Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 and that is where I’m currently based.
In college I took a interaction design class and I just fell in love with the process. I’m a meticulous and OCD type of person, so I could honestly spend hours organising figma files (I guess boring for some, but fun for me!).
I enrolled in the UX/UI bootcamp to broaden my knowledge of the entire industry. Understanding different aspects of the job will allow me to do mine more efficiently.
FUN! It’s like being apart of a team with people across the world. I genuinely look forward to seeing my classmates when I wake up in the morning.
My favourite part of the bootcamp so far has definitely been the figjam lessons that we get to interact with. People always fill the best stickies with 100’s of emojis. A learning that has surprised myself in Bootcamp would be how much time we spend with focusing on the user, trying to specifically identify and solve their problems and needs.
I’m quite the over-thinker, which makes it hard for myself to move onto the next stage and always trying to perfect everything. However, I’ve learned that perfection can never be reached and the project is better done than perfect.
My class starts at 8am in the morning, so coffee plays a essential part ☕️ After class I get on my homework right away. When my homework is done, I head into the gym and get a solid workout in 🏋️ After the gym, I make some delicious lunch 🤌 and when that’s finished, I head into work. Usually I end my day with Netflix or a bit of gaming and then I start it all over again!
Currently my workspace setup is using my whole kitchen table. It has it benefits, the main one being the amount of surface area I’ve got. Obviously, it’s not ideal for when I have to move it for dinner time, but I mean the risk is worth the reward.
Mainly Instagram, Youtube. and Netflix. I use it Instagram to share photos of my adventures and journey’s. Youtube comes in handy when learning figma and/or watching Premier League highlights. Netflix is primarily used to binge watch shows, Peaky Blinders is one I HIGHLY recommend.
My Nintendo Switch is super cool. It’s very versatile, you can game handheld or if you wanna bigger screen to play with some friends you just place it in the charging station and then it appears on your TV.
I’m all over the place with music, but while designing I like listening to soft rock. Coldplay and John Mayer are my go-to’s.
