I grew up in the Philippines, moved to Singapore to work, and now live permanently in Auckland, New Zealand.
Out of curiosity and wanting to understand how digital is connected in multiple disciplines, I pivoted from graphic design, web design, front-end development, technical project management, and digital marketing to UX/UI design. Having an experience in multiple disciplines allowed me to collaborate across teams easily.
After my long career adventure, I focused on UX/UI design because I could visually see my work's impact on the users and business.
I enrolled in the Design System Bootcamp because it covers various topics like design tokens, best practices and governance. The most important thing is to be able to ask questions during the live session with your instructor.
Jake is such a nice instructor! He answered my questions that have haunted me for months, where you can't easily find the detailed answer on Google. Be sure to look for his class schedules, he never gets upset with our questions during the sessions! Cheers mate!

Applying what you learned from your studies in the real world. In reality, you do it in bit pieces. You need to be able to shift priorities, rescope the work, and easily adapt to any given situation.
If I work from home, the temperature is not too cold, and it is not raining; I usually go jogging in the early morning. On the flip side, I do my regular morning routine then I make sure to grab a cup of coffee during my work time.
After working hours, I usually spend time with my family, like eating dinner together, helping my daughter with assignments, playing with them, and then putting them to bed. After that, I typically spend my time watching tv series and movies, upskilling, or freelancing.
