I am from the USA out of Arkansas, near the Ouchita mountains.
I have known of the UX/UI designer role from my past IT careers, and I am transitioning into becoming a designer. I believe what attracted me to this role is the ability to be creative with the IT realm that I did not have in my previous experiences.
I decided to pursue Memorisely boot camp versus the other options online. The main reason for this is they have a really solid portfolio based curriculum and use tools that are common within the industry.
A typical day would be reading and collaborating with others on designs and and learning different methods to approach design. The collaboration at Memorisely are web based platforms and makes it easy to create group oriented hands on environments.
Current workspace would be a typical coffee table and TV screen as my monitor. I like to have a lot of screen real estate to multi-task versus having many small screens.

Recently working with Figma has been a fun experience for me. It is a powerful tool that really is a joy to learn. The design tool Figma is my go to platform to play around in and test different features out.

I primarily listen to low-fi beats or study music so there is not a lot of talking in the background when I design.
